Kazim Trust was established in 2008 in the city of Karachi, Pakistan as a non-profit organization that aims to spread awareness and create treatment programs for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Learning Difficulties (LD) and Autism (ASD) along with its comorbidities in children and adults.
As part of our mission to spread awareness and educate masses about neurodevelopmental disorders, we organize an annual international conference by bringing together highly trained and experienced speakers in various related fields to share their knowledge and highlight methods to manage mental health effectively.
Continuing the legacy of spreading awareness, this time Kazim Trust is organizing 6th Virtual International Conference by the title ‘Beyond the Label’ – hand in hand, together we stand which will be held on 9th-10th October 2020. The conference is divided into two different themes day wise,
Remodeling Inclusion will include the practical ways that can help us remodel inclusive education in Pakistan. Inclusion is about how we structure our schools, our environment and our lessons so that all our students learn and participate together. An inclusive classroom is one that creates a supportive tool for all learners, including those with learning differences.
Demystifying ADHD will include all the information regarding ADHD, its causes, signs & symptoms, myths, screening methodologies, therapies, benefits and reservations. Role of parents and teachers will also be discussed in order to demystify ADHD. Early identification and assistance with ADHD can help our child develop grow and reach their greatest potential.
The main aim of the conference is to communicate theoretical knowledge, research findings, educational practices and skill to special educators, Mental Health Professionals, teachers, students, parents, individuals, social workers and everyone interested in promoting inclusion and mental health wellbeing. As we strongly believe that “in order to succeed, organizations must build bridges constructively and respectfully, creating cultures where everyone feels they can contribute and belong.
