Founder and Principal Trustee
Kazim Anwar, the founder of Kazim Trust, is an entrepreneur with 40 years of experience in family businesses and 30 years in global financial markets. Inspired by his grandmother, Mrs. Sherbanoo Haji Mian, a passionate philanthropist, Kazim developed a deep commitment to social work from a young age.
A former rock band manager, swimming champion, and squash titleholder, Kazim channeled his energy into productive endeavors. His entrepreneurial achievements include receiving a merit export trophy from General Zia-ul-Haq in 1984-85.
In 2008, he founded Kazim Trust, driven by his own experience with ADHD as a child. His mission is to support children and families facing similar challenges, creating a legacy of compassion and empowerment.
Trustee
Khaleel attended Karachi Grammar School and then Babson College in Boston, USA and the University of Toronto, Canada for his undergraduate degree in Commerce. He works closely with his father, Kazim Anwar in various aspects of the family investment business.
Following in the family’s culture of philanthropy and inclined towards technology, Khaleel manages the IT infrastructure of Kazim Trust and trains the team to deploy and use the latest tools and technological resources for its operations. Khaleel enjoys playing squash and the drums.

Zain attended Karachi Grammar School and then proceeded to McGill University in Montreal, Canada to obtain his undergraduate degree in Finance. He has worked closely in various aspects of the family businesses. He is currently the third generation CEO of the family’s paintbrush and roller manufacturing factory Universal Brushwares (Pvt) Ltd.
His meticulous attention to quantitative systems ensures robust operations, compliance and checks on all systems deployed at Kazim Trust. Zain enjoys long distance running and ran the New York Marathon in 2010. He enjoys football and reading and has recently started to learn the Piano.
